Receptionist – Dutch & English Speaking (Amsterdam)

Introduction

We are looking to recruit a Receptionist (internal job title: Office & Facilities Assistant). The Receptionist will be inquired to welcome guests, answer the telephone and perform administrative duties including office and receptionist duties.
Moreover you are responsible for ordering offices supplies and keep the meeting rooms and public office spaces tidy. You’ll be working on a fulltime basis in a split job with one other colleague.  In this role you are expected to work from 8.30-17.00 hrs or from 9.00-18.00 hrs. Our office is based in the Amsterdam business district (Amsterdam Zuidas).

Organization

As a subsidiary of PAO Gazprom, South Stream Transport B.V. is responsible for the construction of the TurkStream Offshore Pipeline.

The TurkStream Offshore Pipeline will start in Anapa, Russia, running over 900 kilometres through the Black Sea to the Turkish coast. The pipeline will help secure energy supplies to Turkey and South-Eastern Europe in a reliable and sustainable way. The Project will use state-of-the-art technology, materials and equipment, to safeguard the pipeline’s safe operation for many decades to come.

Function

  • Answer telephone, screen and direct calls (switchboard);
  • Take and relay messages, provide information to callers;
  • Welcome guests entering the office (hand out visitor’s badges), direct persons to correct destination;
  • Ensure knowledge of staff movements and visitors in and out of the office;
  • Receive and sort and send mail, packages and deliveries;
  • Tidy and stock the front desk area, the meeting rooms, pantries and the kitchen;
  • Organize meetings and liaise with catering; 
  • Provide coffee/tea service for meetings;
  • Order office and kitchen supplies;
  • Serves as a resource for questions from customers and external service providers;
  • Communicate on office related matters;
  • Assist with internal office moves, prepare name signs;
  • Provide general administrative support to other departments;
  • Participate in small projects;
  • Part of the emergency response team (BHV);

 

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of work experience as a Front Desk Officer, facility service coordinator or in a similar role within multinational companies;
  • MBO +; preferably hotel management school;
  • Knowledge of Front Desk administrative procedures;
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook);
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Service minded, maintain a positive and courteous attitude at all times;
  • Professional personal presentation;
  • Organizing and planning skills;
  • Can work independently, hands on;
  • Attention to detail, sense of responsibility;
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and Flexible
  • Fluent in Dutch and English verbal & written, any other language is an advantageous
  • Living in Amsterdam area.
